About the conference:
Over the last twenty five years or so, thousands of young people from the parishes around the Diocese of Joliet attended the Youth Leadership Conference (YLC) while they were in high school. After graduation, though, there was no diocesan conference to address the particular needs and callings for young adults ages 18-23.
This new Collegiate Leadership Conference (CLC for short) will focus on the particular situation of 18-23 year old Catholics and their call to work, serve, worship, belong, and contribute in their families, among their friends, at work, in their parishes, and in the world. CLC participants will join some of the key, large group events that take place with YLC being held on campus at Lewis University. However, the bulk of the CLC time will be spent in special workshops and presentations just for the young adults.
There will be special scheduling accommodations made for college students who want to serve as staffers and chaperones for YLC.

Be sure to attach the appropriate payment. If you have any questions, please email Paul Jarzembowski (pjarzembowski@dioceseofjoliet.org) Director of Young Adult Ministry or call (815) 727-6411. All mail should be sent to 430 N. Center St, Joliet, IL 60435. Registration Fees: $175 per person if all paperwork and fees are in by May 30th $185 per person if all paperwork and fees are in by June 6. All paperwork must be turned in no later than June 6th. Money is non-refundable. Be sure to speak with your parish (Youth Minister, Young Adult Minister or pastor) about potential scholarship assistance for the conference. If your parish's youth ministry program sends a group, you may register through your parish. Special scheduling accommodations will be made for young adults who serve as staffers and wish to participate in this CLC event.. If you are interested in being a staffer or chaperone for YLC, you will also need to fill out the appropriate forms from the Diocesan Youth Ministry Office. Click here for a list of those forms. |
